A new month brings an energy of fresh starts and the hope that the other half of the year will be even better than the first.
This week saw the opening of two new businesses in Sanford: a community bookstore, MonkeyKat Books, and a brand-new hotel, Home2 Suites.
These new spots not only add value to our quality of place and encourage more “Work, Live, and Play” – they are evidence of the work we put in every day to make our community better.
New stores and hotels as well as any other new businesses, large or small, play a crucial role in the continuing development and vitality of Sanford and Lee County. MonkeyKat Books and Home2 Suites are creating new jobs, which boosts local income for our residents and stimulates our local economy by helping us to “Support Local” and “Shop Local.”
These two new locations also bring in new products and services that enhance the diversity our community offers to our citizens and visitors, encouraging both residents and visitors to see us in Sanford!
They are also new Chamber Members, which helps increase our community engagement and expand our business network. The continued growth of our Chamber membership by adding two new businesses strengthens our ties within the local business community.
Once you visit MonkeyKat Books and see Homes2 Suites, you cannot help but have pride in the distinct and unique community we are all creating. Sanford has much to offer to us.
