At the Sanford Area Growth Alliance, we believe strong communities are built on strong relationships. While our mission is to promote economic growth and enhance the quality of life in Lee County, we fulfill that mission in many ways; one of the most meaningful being by bringing people together.
Through our Chamber of Commerce, we connect businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders who are invested not only in their own success but in the success of one another and our community as a whole. Every connection made, conversation started, and partnership formed strengthens our local economy and helps create new opportunities for growth.
Networking may be a familiar business term, but at its core, it is about building genuine relationships. Those relationships spark collaboration, inspire innovation, and create the kind of partnerships that help businesses and our community continue to thrive.
Sanford and Lee County are in an interesting middle ground when it comes to size; we are large enough to have businesses and organizations that cover the majority of needs, from professional services to graphic design to catering to manufacturing. At the same time, our area is small enough that, when looking for these services, it may not always be obvious that there is a quality local option available. For SAGA, this is an area of opportunity; when our residents and local businesses support each other, our local economy grows stronger.
That is why it may feel like we are always hosting another networking event and, in many ways, we are. Whether it is monthly gatherings like AM Buzz, Business After Hours, and our Public Policy Luncheon, or signature annual events like our Annual Meeting and Chamber Clays Championship, our goal is always the same: to create meaningful opportunities for investors to connect face-to-face.
These events are about more than simply being social. The conversations sparked and relationships built in these rooms often become the foundation for future collaboration, partnerships, and business growth across our community.
Events like these are not just valuable for attendees, they are equally meaningful for our hosts. Each month, our AM Buzz and Business After Hours networking events are hosted by a different SAGA Investor, giving them a unique opportunity to showcase who they are and what they do in front of an engaged, community-minded audience.
Just last week, we gathered for our June Business After Hours at Helping Hand Clinic, where we were able to introduce a new circle of potential supporters to the important work they are doing in our community. Whether it is a nonprofit, a small business, or any other organization, stepping into these spaces and sharing your story with a local audience that wants to see you succeed can open the door to lasting relationships and future opportunities.
As we move into the second half of 2026, we encourage you to take full advantage of these networking opportunities. Non-member guests are welcome to attend two Chamber networking events at no cost as a way to experience them firsthand, while member Investors have the opportunity to host them on a first-come, first-served basis.
At SAGA, our mission is to strengthen our local economy by connecting people, supporting business growth, and fostering collaboration across Lee County. These events are one of the most direct ways we live out that mission and we invite you to be part of it. We hope to see you there.
