Sanford-Lee speeds your operation’s ROI through a strategic range of incentives and assistance that includes:

Lee County Custom Package: Maximizing support.
Our countywide collaborative approach assures your company superior assistance through customization of incentives at every level—federal, state, county and city. Sanford-Lee’s custom package of incentives allows your operation to leverage all our supports to greatest advantage.

A Range of Financing and Credits: More tools to build your business.

North Carolina’s business climate has also been noted as one of the nation’s best by CNN, Site Selection, Forbes and others. One reason: the state’s AAA bond rating, confirmed by all three rating agencies. Another reason: North Carolina’s powerful incentives that provide us extra options to build your business from every direction. Our toolkit includes Industrial Revenue Bonds, Community Development Block Grants, the One North Carolina Fund and Job Development Investment Grants, as well as the Industrial Access/Road Access Fund, the Rail Industrial Access Program, and the North Carolina Ports Income Tax Credit.

Local Revolving Loan Funds: Creating jobs and opportunity together.

Low-interest business expansion loans are available to qualified companies through two local funds designed to assist capital expansion and other initiatives that create jobs and enhance opportunity.

  • Lee County EDC Small Business Loan Fund, created in cooperation with USDA Rural Development, accepts applications for $10,000 (up to the amount available in the fund.) As loans are repaid, money in the fund becomes available to assist other companies.

  • Lee County Revolving Loan Fund, created in cooperation with the Golden Leaf Foundation, accepts applications for $50,000 to $200,000.

HUBZones: Vital growth from the ground up.

Two designated HUBZones (Historically Underutilized Business Zones) allow Sanford-Lee to work in conjunction with the U.S. Small Business Administration to promote job growth, capital investment and economic development in these areas. Qualified small businesses in the two zones (census tracts 0302.00 and 0303.00) enjoy preferential consideration in federal contracting and may receive higher surety bond guarantees.

Custom no- and low-cost training: Teamed for results.

New or expanding industries can jump start productivity with Sanford-Lee’s powerful collaborative development team: NCWorks, one of the nation’s leading workforce development programs, and Central Carolina Community College(CCCC), one of the state's largest community colleges. Together, NCWorks and CCCC provide qualified industry with world-class training at CCCC’s Innovation Center or on the shop floor.
