Leading performance. Innovation front and Center.

Show and tell just won’t cut it for industries seeking world-class workforce performance. That’s why the training environment at the Innovation Center of Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) is the superior solution. The Innovation Center provides learning in action to assure your team performs with global quality skills and agility from Day One.

Immersive, innovative: At the Innovation Center’s Industry Training Center, students are immersed in a hands-on learning experience provided by state-of-the-art facilities mirroring the modern manufacturing floor. Some of the state’s best welders learn here, honing skills in a fully equipped welding shop that includes eight bays, a virtual welder and portable robotic welding training center. In the instrumentation/controls lab, students navigate and master pumps, hydraulics, process controls and other critical manufacturing tasks.

Simulation, collaboration: The Innovation Center also offers one of only two Simulated Work Environments (SWE) in the state of North Carolina. Today, the SWE sets the standard for global manufacturing development and training, and serves as key asset in the state’s CCWorks, one of the nation’s leading custom workforce training programs.

Designed to support job growth, technology investment and productivity enhancement, CCWorks operates in collaboration with Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) to implement targeted, customized training for qualified companies at no or low cost. CCWorks provides perfectly calibrated training support, when and where it’s needed, for startup teams or incumbent workers, whether at the Innovation Center’s Industry Training Center or on the shop floor.

Fully aligned for superior results: Here in Sanford-Lee, custom training is supported by the solid skills of an educated labor pool in a county where career readiness is fostered by the strategic pathways and dual enrollment offered by a high-performing K-14 school system and by the broad-based curricula of CCCC, one of North Carolina’s premier community colleges.

Founded in 1961, CCCC has consistently produced flagship results in a state focused on delivering the world’s best workforce through Align4NCWorks, an initiative aimed at greater alignment and integration with business needs, rapid responsiveness and benchmarked accountability.

Show and tell? The bottom line of Sanford-Lee industry tells the story: For global industry Sanford-Lee delivers, with seasoned and skilled labor and Innovation front and Center.
