SAGA – Chamber combines Chamber Annual Meeting and Small Business Banquet

Jan 05

The Sanford Area Growth Alliance (SAGA) announced today that the Chamber Annual Membership Banquet will be a combination of the Chamber Annual Meeting and the Chamber Small Business Banquet, which is typically held in May.

The banquet will be held on February 16th at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, from 5 – 8 p.m. and will feature awards for Lifetime Achievement, Small Business of the Year, Small Business Advocate of the Year, the first annual Chairman’s Award and the first inaugural Chamber Dedicated Service Award.

“Combining events allows us to honor small businesses by recognizing the award winners in grand style. We’ll be able to focus on one event to showcase the commitment the award winners make to our community,” says Meg Moss, SAGA – Chamber Executive Director. “We believe that the businesses in this community deserve to be celebrated, and by combining these events we are able to honor their hard work and dedication, beginning now, during Small Business Week in May, and continuing throughout the year.”

The banquet will honor the outgoing Chamber Chairman Brad Simpson and the outgoing 2015 Chamber board members. We will also be welcoming incoming 2016 Chamber Chairman, Woods Doster and the incoming 2016 Chamber Board Members.

Tickets are $40 for Chamber Members and $60 for Chamber Member couples, tickets will include cocktail hour and dinner. Registration for the event is now open to the public and can be found here.
